PERFECTLY CREAMY POLENTA
Easy to cook and so delicious! Try this tasty polenta that is perfect as a side dish for roasted vegetables and goes great with all kinds of meats and sauces. Creamy polenta is one of the simplest side dishes that you can make at home.
Ingredients:
- 3 cups water
- 1 cup cream
- 1 teaspoon fine salt
- 1 cup Marca Leon Polenta Bigas Mais
- 3 tbsp Marca Leon Vegetable Oil
- ½ cup grated parmesan
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp butter
Procedure:
- Bring water and salt to a boil in a large saucepan.
- Add the polenta into the boiling water, whisking until there are no lumps.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer, whisking often, until polenta starts to thicken, about 5 minutes.
- Cover and cook for 30 minutes, whisking every 5 to 6 minutes.
- The Polenta is done when texture is creamy and the individual grains are tender.
- Turn off heat and gently stir 2 tablespoons butter into polenta until butter partially melts.
- Mix in the grated cheese until it has melted. Let it stand for another 5 minutes to thicken.
- Top it off with more parmesan. Serve and enjoy!
